A French Parker Vacumatic

This is a French Parker Vacumatic, in opaque black. It sports a simple Parker 18 carat nib and is a speedline filler. The barrel markings are around the barrel just below the threads (and reads 'Parker Made in France') and not along the length of the barrel as is seen usually. The nib itself is soft but feedbacky (may need some adjustment) and has a good amount of flex.

I'm not sure when it was manufactured since the speed-line filler would indicate latest during the war which seems unlikely. The shape of the pen itself reminds me of the later Duofold NS. Is it possible that it dates from the late 40s or early 50s? There is a squarish dot between the words 'Parker' and 'Made in France'. I cannot make out if it's a date marking or a blemish.

A very unusual and unique pen for me!

Unnamed mini button filler conversion

The second restoration project from the weekend.

This is an unnamed button filler pen that was missing the pressure bar. The pen being cheap, I didn't want to get a pressure bar just for this. I decided to convert it into an aerometric filler with the parts I had at hand. I took measurements and fixed a sac to the section. I measured and cut a spare Chinese filler unit to size. I had to cut the J bar also since this pen is so small. Fills and works as it should.

Gold Bond Stonite

This is the first of two restoration projects from the weekend.

A Gold Bond Stonite model from the '30s(?) ring-top which has the ring missing from the cap. I haven't found a replacement yet so that will have to wait for later. The body itself is in good condition with minor wear. It mostly needed a light polish and a sac replacement. Tested the lever mechanism with water and works as expected.

The nib is a smooth #4 14k warranted gold nib that I had dip tested earlier.
